This blacksmith blank is a snowflake ornament blank. It can be decorated as a using different size chisels and punches. You can see an example of what the ornament may look like completed in the last photos.
***This blank is an unfinished item, and it will require forging and additional finish work to finish it. In October 2026, we have made some efficiency changes in the way we cut our shapes. Most items are now connected to other like items with a connective "bridge" (a small metal strip that holds the pieces together for surface sanding) which is shown in the second to last photograph. It can easily be cut apart with a side cut, chisel, or shear (or on 16 gauge just bent back and forth a few times and it comes loose). This may require a bit of filing to smooth the bridged area once it is separated. For the surface, we are now using a finish sander to give the pieces an even, sanded finish. Steel will receive a 60 grit finish, and copper will get a 100 grit. The edges are not dressed.
