This blacksmith blank can be used to forge a maple leaf bowl or large sculpture. This could be ornamented with chiseled lines or simply textured (last photo shows what it could look like completed).

***This blank is an unfinished item, and it will require forging and additional finish work to finish it. In October 2026, we have made some efficiency changes in the way we cut our shapes. Most small items (such as 4" bowls) are now connected to other like items with a connective "bridge" (a small metal strip that holds the pieces together for surface sanding). It can easily be cut apart with a side cut, chisel, or shear (or on 16 gauge just bent back and forth a few times and it comes loose). This may require a bit of filing to smooth the bridged area once it is separated. For the surface, we are now using a finish sander to give the pieces an even, sanded finish. Steel will receive a 60 grit finish, and copper will get a 100 grit. The edges are not dressed. Best bowl yet
There is nothing to not like about this bowl. The weight is perfect for a bowl for trinkets to candy. The design style matches the leaves in my backyard, truely Maple. Just very nice all the way around.
