Blacksmith's 3rd Hand (Stock Rest) Kit
This kit contains all the pieces you need to build a stock rest (also known as a blacksmith's third hand). This is a great tool to have in the shop whenever you need to have long steel bars supported... such as in the forge, when at the anvil, when using a saw, and much more.
The minimum height when collapsed is 21" and the maximum height is 37" when extended. This is designed by Roy of Christ Centered Ironworks and has our logo cut into the 12" square base. This stand is heavy duty and will hold as heavy of steel as you would like... it is made from 1/4" thick steel plate. It also includes 2 bolts. The base comes with precut holes for the addition of castors (if desired).
ASSEMBLY: You can either weld it together or the tenons have been left long enough to peen them in the slots if you do not have a welder to assemble.
