This is designed to be mounted with a post vice on a beam (either welded or bolted). This is made from 1/4" plate and is quite heavy duty. We acquired this particular design from Uncle Buck's Forge. The flat on it is 6" across. It can easily be mounted on a 6-7" beam. At its widest point, it is approximately 13.5". It features 1" and 2" openings for hammers and tongs.
